Standing for dignity.
Standing for constitutional values.
Standing against hatred.
The deliberate desecration of the Indian national flag outside Frisco City Hall, Texas, and the hostile anti-India rhetoric surrounding the incident deserve unequivocal condemnation.
The First Amendment protects free speech—but freedom must never become a shield for intimidation, targeted harassment, or hatred against any community.
As a Hindu, Indian-American, legal immigrant, and conservative leader, I will continue to stand for the dignity, equal protection, and constitutional rights of every American.
"Tearing down the Indian national flag while a crowd screams vulgar anti-India chants is not legitimate political discourse—it is cultural vandalism and targeted hostility against a hardworking diaspora community," Nath continued. "When individuals feel emboldened to publicly desecrate national symbols while directing hostile anti-India slogans at an ethnic community, it reflects a climate of intolerance that responsible leaders cannot ignore."
"Hate directed at one community weakens the fabric of the entire nation. America is strongest when every citizen can live, worship, and celebrate their heritage without fear or intimidation," Nath said.
